Broken Window Repair
Make it safe first, glaze it properly second
A broken window is two problems at once: a hole in your building, and glass where people walk. We clear it, secure the opening, and fit new glass once it has been cut to size.

The first job is making the house safe
When a pane goes, the instinct is to ask how fast it can be replaced. The more useful question is how fast it can be made safe, because those are different jobs happening in a different order.
Glass is cut to the opening, so a true like-for-like replacement is almost never same-hour work. What is same-visit is clearing the broken glass, taking loose fragments out of the frame so nobody gets cut, and boarding or filming the opening so the building is closed and the heat stays in.
That last part matters more in Colorado than in warmer states. An open window in January is not just a security problem, it is a frozen pipe waiting to happen.
Secured today, glazed correctly once the glass is cut. In that order.

What we deal with
Residential and small commercial breakage across the state.
Shattered and cracked panes
Cleared, measured and replaced in the correct glass type for the location.
Board-up and temporary securing
Boarding or filming so the opening is closed and weathertight until the permanent glass is ready.
Hail and storm damage
Colorado's hail season does real damage to glass. We assess the whole elevation, not just the pane that obviously failed.
Break-ins and forced entry
Glass made safe and the damaged frame, latch or lock repaired so the window is genuinely secure again.
Patio and slider glass
Shattered sliding panels cleared and reglazed in tempered safety glass.
Safety glazing compliance
Where a broken pane sits somewhere that requires tempered glass, tempered glass is what goes back in.
How windows get broken in Colorado
Two of these are far more common here than almost anywhere else.
Hail, in quantity
The Front Range sits in the most hail-prone corridor in the country, and a single severe storm can break glass across whole neighbourhoods. After a big storm we are checking entire elevations rather than single panes.
High winds and debris
Chinook and downslope wind events drive branches, gravel and yard furniture into glass. Wind-driven breakage tends to arrive with no warning and often takes several windows on the same side of the house.
Cold makes it worse
A broken window in a Colorado winter is an urgent problem. Heat pours out, and pipes on an exterior wall can freeze surprisingly quickly, which is why securing the opening comes before everything else.

Broken window questions
Can you replace the glass the same day?
Rarely, and we would rather say so than promise otherwise. Glass is cut to your opening. What we can do quickly is clear the glass and secure the opening so you are not left open to the weather.
Hail broke several of my windows. Do you handle that?
Yes, and after a significant storm it is worth having the whole elevation checked rather than just the obvious breakages. Panes that held can still have taken seal damage.
What does securing the opening involve?
Clearing broken glass, removing loose fragments from the frame, and boarding or filming the opening so the building is closed until the replacement is ready.
Someone broke in through the window. Can you repair the frame too?
Yes, and you should. A new pane in a bent frame with a forced latch is not a secure window. We repair the frame and hardware alongside the glass.
Will you provide documentation for an insurance claim?
We provide written, itemised quotes and invoices that are straightforward to pass on.
Other repairs we handle
Doors and windows are all we do, so whatever has failed, it is probably on this list.
